Organised on Wednesday September 29th at Francesco Pantaleone gallery in Palermo, this workshop was organised and led by Calypso36°21 members Justine Daquin and Zoé Le Voyer. The workshop explored the potential of participative sound archives to navigate through the dead angles of institutionalized knowledge and the practices of resistance that emerge from within them at land and sea.

In the morning, participants were invited to engage in discussions about Out.of.the.blue.map, On Drifting and more specifically discussed the methodology of developing participative archives. In the afternoon, all participants joined a listening session of Collecting Voices, a sound piece produced by the collective, and to passages of the BlackMed, the sound installation designed by Italian collective Invernomuto, that was exhibited by Calypso36°21 in Marseille (Out.of.the.blue.map, vol.1, Manifesta13 Les Parallèles Sud, Coco Velten).
